Tonight our family had dinner with Ashton's Godparents. Ashton has been looking forward to this all week. We collected up some artwork and her penmanship to give them. She was excited to tell them about her Kindergarten Round-Up and new violin. But mainly she just wanted to sit with them and soak them in. She was the main point of conversation most of the dinner.
We can't believe her Gotcha Day anniversary is just a month away! We are so incredibly blessed and grateful for the time we have with her and watching her blossom. It's been a miracle. I am biased, but I think she is the most amazing child!
It was free cookie night, so we got free, fresh chocolate chip cookies, I let Ashton have half of one since she gave up chocolate for Lent. I found half that had the least amount of chocolate on it. It seemed cruel when they served it at the end all piping hot and fresh, you could smell them instantly.
Then outside Ashton had Pinky and was playing catch with Mr. J. She loves them so much. I'm so glad we were able to have a fun night together. It always goes by way too fast.
